If you’ve recently opened your My Disney Experience app for Disney World or your Disneyland app, you may have noticed some changes in the layout thanks to a recent update.
The update is now available for both iOS and Android devices, with a goal of making the apps easier to navigate.
Before moving on, for those not familiar… My Disney Experience is an application that allows Disney World guests to create FastPasses, view PhotoPass photos and dining reservations, order food at participating Counter Service restaurants by using Mobile Order, and more. And the Disneyland app does likewise for Disneyland guests, with Disneyland-specific variations such the option to get Disney MaxPass.
The latest update introduces a new home screen, and the new look does seem easier to navigate. “See upcoming places and relevant park info in a flash!” The new look makes it easier to organize plans from park to park with larger buttons for linking within the app and easier-to-identify park icon symbols.
For Disney World app users, your next plans — such as your next FastPass time — is more prominently displayed. Park hours and Extra Magic Hours (when applicable) are more easily seen as well.
The update makes sure users are better aware of the Plus button (“+”) for fast navigation to reserving FastPasses or making Advance Dining Reservations, or using Mobile Order at participating counter service locations.
A new slider bar now advertises Disney’s extra ticket options like Disney After Hours and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for Disney World.
The slider also features current Festivals (which are included with park admission) such as the 2019 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival for Disneyland, or the 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival for Disney World.
