The Disney Family of Wines is a list of wines featuring vineyards which have a “special tie to Disney’s past, present, and future.”
Guests may have seen the wines listed at Disney parks and resorts including Carthay Circle Restaurant and Alfresco Tasting Terrace at Disney California Adventure park or the Grand Floridian Café and Be Our Guest Restaurant in Walt Disney World. And now a new event is coming to Disney World’s Contemporary Resort for fans of the Family of Wines. The 2019 Disney Family of Wines Weekend will take place May 17-19.
Included in the Disney Family of Wines Weekend will be a two-night stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and “three days of culinary adventure.” Guests will be “able to explore flavors and interact with a collection of wines produced by winemakers and wineries that have a distinct connection to Disney.” Workshops, meetings with winemakers, and meals will all be part of the experience.
Representatives from wineries will include Disney Legend Kurt Russell, CEO of GoGi Wines. Representatives will “share their stories, recipes, and history of winemaking alongside their personal Disney experiences.”
You can see the full schedule and inclusions for the experience by visiting Disney Travel Center online.
The price is $2,950 per guest based on adult double occupancy. Interested guests may book by calling the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 939-4239, and the event must be booked by Friday, May 3, 2019.
