Disneyland Review: Hit or Miss at Disneyland’s Alien Pizza Planet For The Get Your Ears On Celebration!

is getting into the spirit of Get Your Ears On with three specialty items — two winners and a dud. Our Disneyland correspondent (HI!, @DiningInDisney!), give us the a slice of the action.

First up: the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. This is pizza topped with fried chicken breast bits, Buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, fresh carrots and celery, and a creamy Buffalo sauce.

We appreciate the creativity of putting literal fresh veggies on top of the pizza, but looking at it, we’re definitely missing some of the sauces they claim are on it. Maybe some creamy ranch would help?

While our taste-testers were a bit divided on this one, nobody thought it was a must-get. Heather says there’s no definitive reason why this doesn’t work, but for her, it’s one of the least successful dishes of the celebration so far! Bummer!

We say skip the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and go for the Bowtie Pasta instead. Both of our taste-testers loved this one! The sauce is a blush sauce — creamy tomato, basically — and the dish includes some flavorful sausage and balls of mozzarella (like Minnie’s polka dots!). Plus: Bowtie Bread! It’s delicious and cute!

The sweet Get Your Ears On treat here is the S’mores Parfait. This is a photogenic dessert — and tasty, too!

The S’mores Parfait consists of layers of chocolate pudding, chocolate cake, tons of marshmallow filling, graham crackers, and thick chocolate ganache.

It’s topped with graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and a toasted marshmallow. It’s a pretty standard dessert, but done well and worth getting if you need a sweet treat.

All-in-all, Pizza Planet is a hit for Get Your Ears On (just avoid that, um, pizza part)! We hope the pasta and parfait stick around a little longer because they’re terrific!
