ALL The Halloween Time Treats at Award Wieners in Disney California Adventure

It’s another day of our quest to try as many of the Halloween Time treats in Disneyland as possible! This stop is at California Adventure’s Award Wieners.

This Halloween Time, Award Wieners is offering up some funnel cake fries, Oktoberfest Beer, and an Oktoberfest Dog.

Time to see if those funnel cake fries are as good as they look! First up was the Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake Fries.

These are dusted with pumpkin spice sugar, drizzled with pumpkin spice sauce, and topped with whipped cream.

As if one order of any kind of fries isn’t enough – we tried two! The Cookies and Cream Funnel Cake Fries are covered with crushed chocolate cream cookies and a cream-cheesy chocolate sauce (tasted more like an icing/frosting than, say, Hershey’s Syrup), chocolate cream cookie pieces, and whipped cream.

Now that our sweet tooth was satisfied (and hey, who doesn’t have dessert first – it is Halloween Time after all!) it was on to the Oktoberfest Dog.

This is a super-spicy kielbasa sausage topped with caramelized onions, sauerkraut, Oktoberfest beer cheese, and green onions. As you can see the bun kind of overwhelmed this – and we personally would have loved more cheese sauce (our love of plastic cheese is well documented) on this as well as some more caramelization on the onions.

The spice of the sausage was pretty overwhelming, but the beer cheese sauce stood up to it nicely. I really enjoyed this one and would definitely have planned on getting it again if I wasn’t so full the rest of the week.

The next day, Heather and I went back and ordered the filmstrip fries with a side of the beer cheese sauce — heaven.
