The 9th annual Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic takes place Friday, October 26, and Saturday, October 27, 2018.
This popular two-night event coincides with the 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival and includes The Causeway, Seminars, and three special food locations — and today we have details on the new themed area joining the lineup this year!
The Pig and The Poke
This all-new Hawaiian luau-themed area will join Carnival Corner and Chinatown, transporting guests to the Hawaiian islands!
The menu at The Pig and The Poke was created by Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort Executive Chef Robert Ciborowski, who drew upon his years of living and working in Kapalua, Hawaii, as inspiration for the dishes.
At The Pig and The Poke guests can nosh on Traditional Earth Baked Kalua Pork with Steamed White Rice, Barrel Aged Tamari and Napa Cabbage.
Tuna Poke featuring Hawaiian Yellowfin Tuna, Sushi Rice, Avocado Relish and Crispy Fried Wontons is also featured.
And we can’t wait to try the dessert – Finely Shaved Ice in a variety of tropical flavors: Guava, Pineapple, Coconut Cream, Passion Fruit, Lychee, Kiwi, and Mango!
Don’t forget, in addition to the special areas, the 2018 Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic also features more than 40 tasting stations featuring dishes from the resort’s 17 restaurants and lounges as well as more than 30 wineries on the Causeway.
